The Representation Model
Wirral's VCFSE sector have established a dispersed leadership model to ensure that they are well represented and that emerging leaders are supported.
We want to ensure that both established and emerging leaders, elected by the sector, represent the wider interests of the sector at a strategic decision making level across Wirral, Liverpool City Region and the Cheshire and Merseyside (ICS) footprints.
Wirral CVS's role is to implement and develop the model with the sector, co-ordinate opportunities and to ensure the dissemination of information from Representatives. The following pages in this section will provide all of the information you need.
The Representation Role

Prepare for each meeting by reading all the relevant papers

Make a commitment to attend all meetings on time, or give apologies if unable to attend

Participate in key network meetings to ascertain and strengthen the development of shared views within the sector

To act as a positive ambassador for the sector and to operate in a professional manner at all meetings

Reflect the broader views of the voluntary, community and faith sector over and above their personal interests or those of their organisation.

Report back on the meetings they attend and key matters of common interest

Be aware of, and declare, potential conflicts of interests
