This week's Funding Bulletin (October 7th - October 11th 2024)

A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.
Arnold Clark Community Fund

Arnold Clark, the UK’s largest independently run car retailer, has three funds currently open for applications.


  • Gear up for Sport – funds sports kits to support any type of youth sports teams with up to 30 members in the age range of 4-15 years.

  • Cost of Living Support – offers grants up to £2,500 to registered charities and other not-for-profit organisations located within 50 miles of an Arnold Clark Branch.

  • Our Communities Support – gives grants to organisations which provide services which are widely accessible to those within their local communities and address the needs of people living with them, supporting them to a better future.

LGBT+ Futures' Equity Fund

A new round of funding is available for not-for-profit organisations led by and for under-represented groups within the LGBT+ community in England, to help them stay well resourced, sustainable and resilient.


Thanks to further funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, there is a new pot of £500,000 which organisations can apply for a share of. Grant awards of up to £25,000 will be made to intersectional small grassroots organisations for projects that work with:


  • Deaf, Disabled, Neurodivergent LGBT+ people

  • LGBT+ People of Colour and People from BAME

  • LGBTQI+ Women

  • Older LGBT+ people

  • Trans and non-binary people

Funding from The Florence Foundation

The Florence Foundation grants for pets supports charities that help find new homes for unwanted pets, and those for people support charities who help people in times of crisis – such as food insecurity, homelessness or financial hardship resulting from life changing events.


The Foundation would particularly welcome applications from charities either based in or with specific projects located in the Northwest of England

Studios For All Fund

Pirate Studios and Small Green Shoots have launched the Studios For All Fund, offering £180,000 in studio time to charities and organisations supporting marginalised communities across England. This initiative is set to create real opportunities for those in need through music and creativity.


The Studios For All Fund is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and will allocate £180,000 worth of studio time over three years, supporting at least 120 charities, CICs, and organisations across England. The fund is dedicated to empowering disadvantaged and marginalised individuals through music, dance, and media, providing them with free access to professional studio spaces.



Peter Harrison Foundation's Active Lives scheme

Charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) throughout the United Kingdom can apply to the Peter Harrison Foundation Active Lives grant scheme. The scheme aims to provide opportunities for sport and physical activity at a grassroots level that enable people who are physically, mentally, socially, or economically disadvantaged to develop personal and life skills and fulfil their potential.


The grants can be used for a variety of purposes, such as funding new sports programmes, improving existing sports facilities, or providing training and support for sports coaches.


Current deadline: 1st January 2025



Cash4Clubs' 2024 Fund

Cash4Clubs offer small grants of £2,000 to community sports clubs and organisations that are giving adults access to sport across the UK and Ireland.
