The Big Give's Small Charity Week Match Fund
The Big Give, in partnership with Global’s Make Some Noise and NCVO, has opened a match funding campaign to support small charities making a big impact on communities across the UK.
Up to £10,000 in match funding is available to help charities to run their own match funding campaigns during Small Charity Week in June.
The initiative aims to build the resilience, skills and profile of the small charity sector, while helping organisations raise vital, unrestricted funding to increase their impact.
To be eligible, charities must have an annual income between £5,000 and £1 million.

Impetus' Skills Grant 2025
Impetus, a UK-based charity dedicated to transforming the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed in school, work, and life, has announced that it is currently accepting applications for its Skills Grant 2025.
The fund is looking to support two organisations in England, Wales or Scotland dedicated to assisting young people aged 16 to 24 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET) by enhancing their employment-related skills. Eligible organisations will receive £100,000 in unrestricted funding for one year, with the possibility of extended support. Beyond financial assistance, partners will benefit from hands-on guidance from Impetus's Investment Team, access to a network of pro bono experts, and opportunities for peer learning and policy influence.
To qualify, applicants must be a Charity, Social Enterprise or Further Education College with a proven track record or strong potential to deliver measurable employment outcomes for NEET youth. A committed leadership team and financial sustainability are also essential criteria.

UK Government's Tackling Food Surplus at the Farm Gate scheme [CLOSING SOON]
The UK government has launched the Tackling Food Surplus at the Farm Gate scheme, allocating £15 million to address the issue of edible food waste on farms. This initiative offers grants starting from £20,000 to food redistribution charities aiming to rescue surplus produce and deliver it to communities in need. The funding can be used for purchasing packaging and labelling equipment, vehicles for transporting goods from farms, and storage solutions like fridges or freezers to prolong food freshness.
The scheme is open to food redistribution charities and encourages interested groups to apply. Applicants are invited to submit proposals detailing their plans to collaborate with farmers to access surplus food and enhance their capacity for redistribution.

The Hedley Foundation
The Hedley Foundation is inviting applications from small to medium-sized registered charities that help to improve the quality of life of people in the UK, particularly the disadvantaged and vulnerable.
The Foundation typically makes grants of up to £5,000 each year for initiatives that benefit the lives of young people, disabled people, elderly people, the terminally ill and otherwise disadvantaged people and their carers. Occasional larger sums are given to charities where high impact can be achieved.

The Philip Henman Trust
The Philip Henman Trust awards grants to major UK-based charities (with annual incomes of over £100,000) for long-term overseas development projects requiring funding for three to five years. These grants are split into annual payments (between £3,000 and £5,000 P.A.) with a maximum total of £25,000. Once the grant has been approved, the organisation will be guaranteed an annual grant for the duration of the project, as long as receipts and reports are sent back to the Trust in the way that is specified.

The Baring Foundation
The Baring Foundation has announced a new round of funding aimed at supporting legal actions that address racial injustice within the criminal justice system.
In this round of funding, the Foundation is seeking to fund activity which uses the law to:
Clarify or challenge legislation which disproportionately criminalises racialised people
Address the harms caused by police in schools
Address the clampdown on activism in relation to issues of racial injustice (addressing the criminalisation of free speech and protest).
Eligible organisations can apply for grants of up to £50,000 for projects lasting up to 18 months, or up to £90,000 for initiatives extending over three years. The grants are intended to support legal actions that empower, persuade, or challenge systemic issues, rather than fund direct service delivery such as individual advice or support.

The Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation
The Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation has announced that it is currently accepting applications for grants of up to £10,000 for UK registered charities that are helping people experiencing hardship or from underserved groups to access housing or improve financial wellbeing.
Key areas of support include:
Access to Housing:
Assisting people in need to find safe and secure permanent or temporary accommodation.
Supporting individuals in crisis situations, such as homelessness or health emergencies.
Funding community spaces that provide help and wellbeing support.
Financial Wellbeing:
Providing guidance on money management and improving financial literacy.
Supporting charities that offer financial education programmes.
Enhancing digital competence related to financial management.
Priority is given to charities working in areas ranked within the top 50% of the UK Index of Multiple Deprivation.
Eligible organisations must be registered charities established for at least three years with three or more trustees. The funding can cover core costs including salaries, rent, utilities and training, or project expenses such as equipment, materials, venue hire and small capital contributions.

Givestar’s Adventure for Good Grant
Charity fundraising platform Givestar has announced that its Adventure for Good Grant is now open for applications. This year, the grant is exclusively available to women in the UK, aiming to encourage greater female participation in adventure-based fundraising. The initiative addresses a gender imbalance observed in previous years, where 77% of applicants were men.
The £20,000 funding pool will be distributed among successful applicants to support expenses related to their fundraising challenges. Eligible costs include specialist gear, travel, accommodation, and other necessary equipment. Applicants must be women aged 18 or over, residing in the UK, and planning a significant fundraising challenge for a registered charity.
Givestar has previously supported fundraising efforts, including Russ Cook’s run across the length of Africa and Lara Vafiadis’ solo row across the Atlantic. Collectively, fundraisers within the Givestar community have raised over £1.5 million for charitable causes, demonstrating the impact of adventure-driven philanthropy.
