The Maurice & Hilda Laing Charitable Trust's Warm Spaces Fund
Funding is available for churches in deprived areas of England that are running warm spaces the winter of 2024/25
The Maurice & Hilda Laing Charitable Trust (MHLCT) is offering up to 25 grants of £1,000 each to churches running ‘Warm Spaces’ in church buildings, parish halls, or other church-run buildings.
‘Warm spaces’ provide regular, welcoming places where vulnerable people can come together and stay warm in a friendly, non-judgemental environment open to everyone.
To be eligible for the MHLCT Warm Spaces Fund, churches must be registered as a Warm Space with the Warm Welcome Campaign, and be operating in one of the top 20% of deprived areas in England.
Current deadline: 28th April 2025

Lloyds Bank Foundation's Local Collaborations Programme
Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales has launched its Local Collaborations Programme. The programme aims to empower small charities to work with other local organisations to drive local or regional change in critical social areas.
Applications need to align with at least one of the Programme’s key themes. These are:
Making the social security system work better for those facing the greatest challenges
Making sure people facing complex issues have access to suitable accommodation
Improving support and services for asylum seekers and refugees.
Eligible collaborations (networks and partnerships), led by small charities with annual incomes between £25,000 and £1 million, can apply for grants of £100,000 spread over two years, with the possibility of an additional £50,000 extension in the third year.
The Foundation plans to award grants to approximately 15 collaborations in this funding round.
The funding is designated for influencing activities rather than direct service delivery. Supported initiatives may include empowering individuals with lived experience to engage with local decision-makers, gathering and presenting data to advocate for change, and developing strategic partnerships to address systemic issues. Collaborations must involve at least three organisations and focus on one or more of the programme's key themes.
Current deadline: 30th April 2025
The Hays Travel Foundation
Registered charities operating in areas in which Hays Travel operates can apply for grants from the Hays Travel Foundation. The Foundation offers funding between £2,000 and £15,000 which aim to support projects helping disadvantaged young people up to 25 years old in the areas of education, prevention of poverty, health, arts, culture, or sports.
Charities not located in Hays Travel areas must provide evidence of how their project impacts a community with a Hays Travel branch. The Foundation encourages applicants to demonstrate match funding, as this increases the likelihood of securing a grant.
Applications for the next round of Foundation funding are currently open, with the next review meeting scheduled for 7th April 2025. Interested charities can apply online through the Hays Travel Foundation website. For local good causes, individuals or organisations are encouraged to approach their nearest Hays Travel branch directly to discuss potential support.
In addition to the Foundation's grants, each Hays Travel branch has a yearly budget for local good causes, allowing them to support fundraising activities or worthy causes in their communities. This broadens the company's community impact beyond youth-focused projects.
Since its establishment in 2015, the Foundation has awarded more than £1 million in grant donations.
Current deadline: 22nd July 2025.
