Project supported through Step Up funding looking for weekend volunteers to ensure safe streets

The Street Angels project are looking for Volunteer Team Leaders and Team Members to come and be a safe and caring set of hands between 8pm to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Street Angels Birkenhead is organised and co-designed by Hitched Communities as a way of collaborating with night-time economy partners and the faith community to establish a roaming welfare street team service that addresses the emotional and physical needs of vulnerable individuals.
Street Angels aim to enhances local safety and signposts available services, which relies on excellent volunteers to do so.
Volunteer and Co-ordinator Amy Butterworth says the project is "an opportunity to connect with Birkenhead where some of us work, live, play and study." The volunteering opportunities also come with valuable training and safeguarding to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those involved.
