New funding opportunities available this week (July 8th - July 12th 2024)

A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.

WCIT Funding for Transformative IT Projects

Registered charities, educational establishments, community interest companies, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £15,000 for IT projects that benefit communities and people across the UK.

GSK IMPACT Awards

The award recognises and rewards community-based charities making a significant impact on people's health and wellbeing, as up to 15 awards will be made, ranging from £4,000 to £50,000, plus training and development valued at a further £13,500. Eligible charities must be at least three years old, and have an annual income between £150,000 and £3 million.

The Cash for Kids Sports Challenge

Grassroots community sports groups are being invited to participate in a fundraising competition to encourage more children to play sports in their communities. The Cash for Kids Sports Challenge aims to raise funds for initiatives to improve access and opportunities for disadvantaged and disabled children and young people who find it challenging to get into sports.


Groups will have from 7 September to 7 October to raise as much money as possible. The top three fundraising groups will receive an additional £5,000, £2,500, and £1,500, respectively. Plus, there are special awards of £500 each for the Teamwork Award and Sports Challenge Champion Award.

The Asda Foundation Spaces and Places Grant Programme

The Asda Foundation is offering £1,000,000 in funding through its Investing in Spaces and Places Grant programme for grassroots organisations to improve community spaces and places across the UK.


Grants awarded will range from £10,000 to £25,000.


Current deadline: 28th July 2024



A B Charitable Trust Open Programme

Grants of up to £30,000 over three years are available for UK-registered charities working to defend the human rights of marginalised and excluded people.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs' Trading for Good programme

The programme aims to provide social enterprises and community businesses across England with the knowledge and skills to develop and grow projects that tackle social and environmental challenges.


Trading for Good provides Match Trading Grants of up to £10,000, along with learning and development support to help organisations to increase their traded income and become stronger and more sustainable.
