Gift Aid Awareness Day is on Thursday 3rd October this year and we would like to join in sharing the message.
Have you considered using Gift Aid to generate additional income for your organisation? It's a great option if you run a charity shop, organise charity auctions or receive donations from the public. If you are eligible to claim Gift Aid, now's the time to take advantage of a new income stream.
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a scheme that allows charities and community amateur sports clubs (CASCs) in the UK to claim an extra 25% on top of donations made by UK taxpayers. This means that for every £1 donated, the charity can receive an additional 25p from the government.
Benefits for a Charitable Organisation
Increased Donations: Gift Aid encourages donors to give more as their donations are worth more to your charity without costing them extra.
Boosted Revenue: The additional 25% can significantly increase the total amount of funds raised by your charity.
Supports Long-Term Planning: Predictable income from Gift Aid can help charities plan their activities and projects more effectively.
Donor Engagement: Offering Gift Aid can attract more donors who want to maximise the impact of their donations.
