Wirral council's Climate Emergency Team in partnership with Wirral CVS are offering grants of up to £15,000 to fund great ideas for green and blue initiatives to improve local communities in Wirral.
Whether it is for increasing Biodiversity in Bidston, developing Wetlands in Wallasey, Seed Bombing in Bromborough, a Community Fridge in Frankby or any other idea to improve your community's environment and sustainability, we want to hear from you.
Funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority, Wirral Council are offering Community Green Grants in three sizes - up to £1,000, between £1,000 and £5,000 and between £5,000 and £15,000 to ensure that groups of all sizes and experience can apply.
We will be looking for projects that:
add to or improve green/blue infrastructure
improve the availability of healthy and affordable food
increase opportunities for volunteering and social action
benefit local communities
are well planned
develop biodiversity and consider carbon emissions
